Description: Feel yourself at home in Pension Baronesse. We have been managed as a family business for decades and we offer a unique blend of Viennese tradition and contemporary comfort. Enjoy the relaxation of an elegant atmosphere full of Viennese charm, together with discreet and individual comfort. There is no restaurant or bar in our pension, in order to protect the privacy of our guests. We guarantee the much appreciated relaxation. Pension Baronesse is located in the center of the Vienna, surrounded by tourist sights, magnificent historical buildings, colorful shopping streets and the legendary place "Stock im Eisen" (one of the oldest symbols of Vienna). The front-desk personnel, the service at the buffet breakfast and the reliable room staff, all well-trained, always happy to help you with any questions and wishes you may have. Rooms of The Pension Every room has a shower or a bathtub, toilet, hair-dryer, telephone, TV, minibar and W-Lan internet-access. Pets are welcome in the rooms at a cost of 4 EURO/night. 1) single rooms: 10 m2 2) twin rooms: 15 m2, facing the courtyard 3) traditional double rooms: 18-26 m2, facing either the courtyard or the street, maximum capacity: 4 persons 4) modern double rooms: 26-30 m2, facing the courtyard, wooden floor, spacious bathroom, maximum capacity: 2 persons Bicycle Rent If you wish to discover Vienna by bicycle, we have some well-maintained bicycles available for our guests in the pension (reservations necessary). With the bicycle, you can get to know Vienna better, discover old streets and hidden places. Navigator Rent Hand-held navigational systems are available for our guests at the reception (reservation necessary). Paper maps can be fun, but sometimes they are very frustrating. Large maps are impractical, small ones are complicated to use. We offer a user friendly navigational system with the most important sights programmed so that you will always find what you are looking for in Vienna. Further details about this service is available at the reception as you check-in. Airport Transfer Service You can get a fix-rate airport pick-up service from Schwechat Airport to Pension Baronesse, and back to the airport on departure day. Register yourself for the airport transfer here, or simply write the flight details in the comment section of the booking form. If you are taking a low-cost airline, and your plane lands at the Bratislava Airport instead, you can arrange a transfer to Vienna on the following page: Bratislava-Vienna Transfer. How to get here by public transportation 1) from the airport Option 1: take the Vienna Airport Line bus and get off at Westbahnhof. Just opposite from the train station, there is stop for tram 5, which you should take towards Praterstern. Get of at Lange Gasse and cross the main road (Alser Strasse). Pension Baronesse is a few steps from the crossing. Option 2: take the fast train/Schnellbahn (station directly at the airport) to station Praterstern Wien Nord. From here, take tram 5, in the direction of Westbahnhof. Get off at the station Lange Gasse and cross the main road (Alser Strasse). Pension Baronesse is a few steps from the crossing. 2) from Südbahnhof - Southern Railway Station Option 1: take bus 13A (on the right side as you leave the station) to the end station "Alser Strasse - Skodagasse". From here, follow the Alser Strasse (main road) in the direction of the city center until you reach the Lange Gasse (on the right side, you will see an Erste Bank). Turn right here, and after a few steps you will find Pension Baronesse on your right. Option 2: take the tram D (right side when as you come out of the station) in the direction of Nussdorf. Get off the tram at the station Schottentor/University. From here, you can take the tram 43 or 44. Both stations are on the other side of the Ring. Get off at Lange Gasse and continue walking leftwards. After a few steps, you will find Pension Baronesse on the right hand side. 3) from Westbahnhof - Western Railway Station Take tram 5 towards Praterstern. Please get off at Lange Gasse. Diagonally opposite, you will see Pension Baronesse. We can also organize a pick-up from the railway and bus stations of the city: Bus Station / Train Station Taxi in Vienna. Parking For our guests at the Pension Baronesse, we recommend the parking spaces in the underground garage at the nearby Otto Wagner square. Reservations are not needed. Pick-up the normal parking card from the garage upon arrival, and give it to the receptionist as you check-in at the pension. In return, you will be given a hotel parking card which entitles you to a discount parking rate of only 12 EURO/day (instead of 35 EURO). On your departure day, the parking tickets will be recorded onto your hotel parking card and you will be able to leave the garage free of charge. If you park your car longer in the garage than the validity of your hotel card, then the difference should be settled directly at the garage.
