Description: Welcome to Hotel Franzenshof, our family-run hotel in the second district of Vienna. We offer a cozy and friendly atmosphere almost in the heart of the city center, suitable for families, private and business travelers alike. Stay at Hotel Franzenshof if you want to experience the traditional Viennese charm. About Hotel Franzenshof Our hotel was built in 1911, and it has been managed by the Sobotka family for more than 30 years. We are constantly renovating the hotel in order to create a relaxing environment for our guests. In 2009, for example, we have renovated the reception area completely. If you are coming to Vienna by bike or wish to discover the city on wheels, we have a covered and secure bicycle storage room at your disposal. Our hotel was awarded the Austrian Eco Label for tourism in 2003. This awarded is granted by the Environmental Ministry for hotels with a natural atmosphere, fresh air, non-smoking areas, selective waste collection, energy-optimized management, food from organic farms and nearby suppliers, no unnecessary packaging materials. Here is a short list of what you can do to contribute to this spirit: close the windows when the heating is turned on, turn off the light when not in use, save as much water as possible, place used towels on the floor, smoke only in permitted areas, use public transportation or bicycle. Our Rooms We offer accommodation in bright and spacious rooms. We have single, double, triple, 4-bed rooms, and an apartment with two separate rooms, suitable for up to 5 persons. In the rooms, you will find a telephone, radio and SAT-TV. Internet connection is available in the rooms for a small fee. The room rates include all local taxes, but buffet breakfast is excluded (costs 6 EURO/person/day). Group rates and long-term stay discount are available on request. Since our rates are very competitive, we prefer cash payment at the hotel. Services We have a PC station where you can surf the net. Parking places are available in our garage for a fee of 9,8 EURO/24 hours. Our hotel bar is open non-stop and serves various drinks and snacks. Breakfast is served between 7 and 10 a.m. We have a bicycle rental service (12 EURO/day) as well. There is a central safety deposit box at the reception, which you can use for a daily fee of 1,5 EURO. We have a special tea-time between 2 and 4 p.m., when we serve a free cup of tea in the bar. Laundry is available on request. Location and Public Transportation Hotel Franzenshof is located in the second district of Vienna, in the Grosse Stadtgutgasse. From our hotel, you can get to Stephansplatz (center of Vienna) in ca. 10 minutes by metro, or in 30 minutes on foot. Vienna Prater and the Giant Ferris Wheel (Riesenrad) are only an easy 5-minute walk away from us. The Exhibition & Congress Center can be reached by the metro in ca. 10 minutes, while the UNO City is accessible in 15 minutes. Within walking distance of the hotel, you will find the following stations: - railway station Praterstern - underground U1 and U2 - tramlines 0, 2 and 5 - bus lines 5A, 80A and 82A If you send us your travel itinerary in advance, we will gladly arrange a Private Airport Taxi Transfer for you from Schwechat VIE Airport to Hotel Franzenshof. |
