1st district - Old Town, Innere Stadt
This is the historic heart of Vienna, and home to the Hofburg Palace, the Vienna State Opera, the Spanish Riding School, the St. Stephens Cathedral (Stefansdom), the Kärntner Strasse and the Graben. There are many pedestrian areas within the district, and lots of elegant and expensive shops, boutiques, antique stores, fine restaurants, cafés and theaters.
