If you consider how much money you spend during your trip in Vienna you can see that it is the accommodation that costs the most. Most of the centrally located hotels and pensions are overpriced. On our websites we tried to present accommodation providers that offer their rooms at reasonable rates. The indicated rates already include all taxes (VAT and tourism tax as well). You have many possibilities how to save money. You have to pay approx. 15% less if you book a room outside the Ring. Hotel rooms in the outskirts of Vienna are much cheaper. The advantage of the centrally located hotels is that you can reach everything on foot. To those who have booked a room further from the centre we advise to take a taxi or use the means of public transport to get to the centre of Vienna. Room rates of a hotel vary according to the seasons, the room size, the location of the room, the equipment and the en suit facilities (e.g. Hotel Pension Bosch, Pension Stadthalle, Hotel Franzenshof). In most of the hotels and pensions extra beds and baby beds are available on request usually for an extra charge. You will be informed about the exact rate of the extra bed/ baby bed. Many accommodation providers offer triple and family rooms as well (e.g. Pension Continental, Hotel Pension Corvinus, Hotel zur Agnes, Hotel Cristall). You shall not be surprised if you are offered a higher rate than indicated on the website because most of the bigger hotels and hotel chains work with daily rates (Hotel Kummer, Hotel Prinz Eugen, Hotel Viennart, Hotel De France, etc.). The off season in Vienna lasts from November till March (except the Advent weekends, Christmas and the New Year's Eve, and those days when conferences and sport events take place in the city). July and August is also not high season because Austrian people go on holiday during these months. However you can not expect any discount because flocks of tourists from abroad visit the city also in these months. Rates in winter can be 25% cheaper. It is worth enquiring about any discount in case of cash payment or long term stay. Many hotels will offer a better rate if you stay longer than a week. You can find other discounts on the following sites: Special offers in Vienna and Packages in Vienna. | ||||||||
