Description: The 3-star Hotel Kolping is an ideal hotel for business and leisure travelers, workshop participants and groups in the city of Linz. We have a central yet quiet location at the border of the pedestrian zone. All the major tourist sights and business addresses are within easy reach on foot or by bus/tram from here. In addition, we have a large parking lot and space for buses can be reserved in front of the hotel. Accommodation We have a total of 52 rooms and 106 beds: 18x double rooms, 15x twin rooms, and 19x triple rooms (double bed + chouch-chair). Most of the rooms are non-smoking. The rooms feature shower, toilet, hairdryer, telephone, mini-bar, air-conditioning, radio, cable-TV, seating area, work desk and alarm clock. We also offer spacious Kolping Apartments for guests who stay at least one month. These apartments have the following equipment: wardrobe and cupboard, bathroom with toilet, shower and hairdryer, fully-equipped kitchenette, dining area, reading area, safe, separated sleeping-area with a reading-lamp, desktop with lamp and cupboards, cable-TV, telephone, internet access, double beds in the apartments. Some of the apartments have a balcony. Rate information for the long-term apartments: exact rental fee depends on the size of the apartment and varies between 880 and 1160 EURO/month, including cleaning and change of bed sheets every fortnight. For a surcharge: buffet breakfast or self-service breakfast in the hotel, telephone, washing machine and laundry services. Children under the age of 6 can stay in the room free of charge, and baby cots are available on request. Children between 7 and 12 have a surcharge of 12 EURO/night, while children above 12 and all adults have to pay an additional 15 EURO/night for the extra bed. Services and Facilities of Hotel Kolping Linz We have a 24-hour front desk and our colleagues will gladly help you during your stay in Linz. Our restaurant is open between Monday and Friday, from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., serving a healthy, quick and reasonably-priced lunch. We have four menus costing between 4 and 6,5 EURO/menu. The salad buffet is available from Monday to Thursday. The use of the hotel parking lot costs 9 EURO/day. Free wireless Internet is available throughout the hotel buidling. Hotel Kolping is run by a non-profit catholic organization, based on the social movement and spirit of Adolf Kolping. The proceeds of the rooms, apartments, restaurant and conference rooms are used to finance our two youth homes located at Gesellenhausstrasse (140 people over 18) and Beethovenstrasse (160 people under 18). Arrival If you are coming by car, take the Linz-Zentrum exit from the highway and turn onto Stockhofstrasse at the 6th traffic light. At the next traffic light, take a right turn onto Auerspergstrasse and then left onto Gesellenhausstrasse. From the train station of Linz, take tram 1, 2 or 3 and get off at station Bürgerstrasse. From here, turn into Langgasse and then left into Gesellenhausstrasse. If you are coming by plane, you can take the shuttle bus from the Linz Airport (Blue Danube) to station Volksgartenstrasse, then walk straight until you see the Donau Versicherung building. At this point, turn slightly right and you will arrive at Gesellenhausstrasse. If you take an airport taxi, it takes about 20 minutes to get to Hotel Kolping.
