Description: The 4-star Schloss Leopoldskron & Meierhof is located a few minutes walk from the Old Town of Salzburg, offering exclusive private accommodation for visitors of the city. Our historic palace hotel has been artistically well preserved, and it has served as the birthplace of the Salzburg Festival and as the original film location of "The Sound of Music". We are open for special events and seminars. There is a small, idyllic lake and a picturesque park surrounding Schloss Leopoldskron, and you can also enjoy the wonderful view of Untersberg mountain. The Meierhof building is located near the palace, and it used to serve as the commercial building. It is actually older than the palace itself, and it has a very nice square courtyard. Nowadays, it houses several offices, guestrooms, seminar rooms and the Vilar Center (computers, Internet access, books and current newspapers). Also in the Meierhof, guests will find the Whitman Fitness Center with its café-bar, relaxing lounge and terrace overlooking the lake. Suites in the Palace In the palace, we offer 12 palace suites, furnished with various antiques and displaying their own character. Basic amenities include king-size bed, telephone, TV, mini-bar, room safe, desk, hairdryer and wake-up service. The superior suites are equipped with a small kitchenette for self-catering. All floors can be accessed by an elevator. The largest suite, the Max Reinhardt suite, possesses a secret passage to the library. Reinhardt had constructed this passage so that he could visit his favorite room any time during the day without disturbance. Guestrooms in the Meierhof We offer 47x double rooms and 8x single rooms on the first floor of the Meierhof building, outfitted with comfortable and classic furniture. The entire Meierhof building and on the rooms are suitable for wheelchair access. In the rooms, you will find the following: classic single beds or king-size bed, TV, telephone, safe, mini-bar, desk, hairdryer and wake-up service. All rooms can be accessed by an elevator. Dine like an Archbishop Without doubt, Schloss Leopoldskron & Meierhof has the most beautiful dining room in Salzburg. International breakfast, from light to hearty, is served in the historic and ornate atmosphere of Leopoldskron Palace, in the magnificent Marble Hall. For small groups, we also serve breakfast in the Venetian Room. For seminar clientele and exclusive tour groups, we offer buffet gala dinner in the Marble Hall, or a candlelight dinner in the Venetian Room. Dining to the flickering of warm candlelight, just like the archbishop once did, is a lifetime experience. Additional Information We have a 24-hour reception desk and our colleagues will gladly help you during your stay in Salzburg. Free Wi-Fi access is available in the buildings, and we also offer free parking possibilities. Check-in is between 14:00 and 22:00, while check-out is between 7:00 and 10:00. All children under the age of six can sleep in the room free of charge in the existing bedding. Baby cots are available free of charge.
