Anyone who would like to enjoy lunch or dinner at the Hotel im Palais Schwarzenberg must try the "Terrassenrestaurant" - a glassed-in-terrace directly facing the Schwarzenberg Park.
The very best Austrian creative cuisine is served there. The restaurant menu is altered seasonally and a business lunch and an evening set meal is served every day.
The wine list contains great Austrian choices and selected Bordeaux vintages.

Our "Terrassenrestaurant" (seating for approx. 55 persons) with view onto the park is open daily from 12.00 noon to 2.00 p.m. and from 6.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.

For those who are looking for a stylish and comfortable atmosphere the "Kaminzimmer" is just an enjoyable place, especially in winter months when a cup of tea is served in front of the fire place.
Guests can enjoy tea specialities, coffee, selected Viennese pastry and light meals from 10a.m until midnight every day.
Pleasure & ambience.
The "Palais Bar" is open daily between 11a.m and 1a.m and serves a variety of cocktails, drinks, and fine wines accompanied by light meals.

History
1683 Second Turkish Siege of Vienna; reconstruction of the city begins
1697 Prince Heinrich von Mansfeld-Fondi commissions the famous baroque architect LUKAS VON HILDEBRANDT to build a garden palace with orangery and fun-fair
1716 Purchase of the partially completed building by Prince Adam Franz zu Schwarzenberg, Imperial Equerry
1720 Commission given to JOHANN BERNHARD FISCHER VON ERLACH to continue construction
1722 DANIEL GRAN paints the frescos in the "Kuppelsaal" and
1726 the "Marmorsaal"
1727 The interior is completed, the palace has been used by the Schwarzenberg family as its Viennese summer residence
1945 The park is devastated by 20 bomb strikes, two bombs hit the palace. Upon the end of the war, the palace is given back to its owner, Prince Adolph zu Schwarzenberg
1950 Restoration of the palace by Prince Heinrich zu Schwarzenberg
1957 All major renovations are completed
1962 Opening of an exclusive Bed and Breakfast
1968 Restaurant and Bar added, full service hotel operation resumes
1984 Renovation of the Sala Terrena and parts of the restaurant
1985 by the famous Viennese architect Hermann Czech, as well as total renovation of all guest rooms and bathrooms.
1997 Six Designer Park Rooms and Suites are added in the Palais' east wing
