Description: Hotel zur Wiener Staatsoper is a family-run 3-star hotel right in the center of Vienna by the State Opera. We offer timeless atmosphere and traditional Viennese charm in the first district of Vienna, within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions of the city. The history of our inspiring Neo-Baroque building dates back to the late 19th century, and it has been renovated with great care to the classical style and the original architectural details. Since 1977, our hotel has been managed by the Ungersböck family, and we look after our guests personally. The Rooms of Hotel zur Wiener Staatsoper We have 22 friendly furnished rooms, equipped with private shower, toilet, hairdryer, cosmetics mirror, telephone, safe (for a small fee), radio, satellite TV and ventilator for the summer months. The double beds have two separate mattresses, so they are suitable for couples and friends alike. The double rooms face the quiet street, and the single rooms face the inner courtyard. In the rooms, you will find crystal lamps and original Persian carpets on the parquet floor. About The Hotel Our reception desk is open 24 hours a day, and our colleagues will assist you with your stay in Vienna. We can arrange you airport transfer from Schwechat or from Bratislava Airport. In addition, sightseeing tours can be booked in advance. There is an elevator in the building, and room rates include breakfast and taxes. You will receive a welcome drink upon arrival. The public premises of the hotel are non-smoking. Children up to the age of 6 can stay free of charge in the room, and we also provide baby cots, child bed, high chair and plastic cup/plate in the breakfast room. Free wireless Internet connection is available in our hotel. For payment, we accept the following credit cards: Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard, Diners, JCB and Maestro. In the famous novel by John Irving, "Hotel New Hampshire" is our celebrated Hotel zur Wiener Staatsoper. Excellent Location Hotel zur Wiener Staatsoper is situated in the first district of Vienna, right by the famous Kärntner Strasse, the main shopping street. When you step out the door, you will find the pedestrian zone right in front of you. In addition, you can get to the State Opera, Albertina Museum, St. Stephens Cathedral, the Imperial Palace and the Spanish Horse-Riding School within walking distance. There is an underground station, Karlsplatz, near the hotel, where lines U1, U2 and U4 meet. If you do not bring your laptop with you to Vienna, you can visit the Internet café right across the street to check your e-mails. Parking Parking on the street is limited and expensive, as we are right in the heart of the city center. We have an agreement with a nearby public garage, thus we can offer you a discount rate of 17 EURO/day. Come to the hotel first to unload your luggage, then we will give you directions to the parking house and the special parking card. Breakfast We offer a generous buffet breakfast in the morning, including sausages, cheese, ham and boiled eggs, spreads, fresh fruit and vegetables. We also offer coffee, hot chocolate and tea in Rosenthal china. During the summer months, breakfast can also be served in our sunny little garden. Keep in mind: a good day begins with a good breakfast! All rates are given in EURO. Cancellation policy: Reservations may be cancelled 7 days prior to arrival. If you cancell on time we will refund you the deposit naturally. Should you cancell later or there is a no show the first night of your stay is to be charged. Should you leave earlier than the last day of your booking the whole stay is to be payed.
